Andrea Joy Cook

A.J. Cook is most well-known for her work as a Canadian actor for her roles as a character in The Virgin Suicides (1998) and Final Destination 2(2003). The actress also was Jennifer "JJ" Jareau on the TV drama Criminal Minds. Cook's television credits are Dead Like Me, Tru Calling, Higher Ground, Bluemoon, PSI Factor, Goosebumps, Elvis Meets Nixon, In His Father's Shoes, Laser Hawk and the television movie Island Heat. She was also in the film features Blood Suckers, Final Destination II, The House Next Door, Out Cold, Ripper, The Virgin Suicides, Kisses and The Tinker. Cook was brought up in Whitby Ontario, Canada, through her parents Sandra and Mike Both of whom were school teachers. Cook grew up alongside the rest of her siblings Angela, Nathan and Paul. She is a Mormon and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The jazz, ballet and tap classes in her early years. After competing in numerous dance competitions, she only began acting when she reached seventeen. Dirty Dancing, starring Patrick Swayze and Patrick Swayze, inspired Cook to pursue a career as an actor. In August 2001, Cook was married to her long-time lover Nathan Andersen, whom she met in a film class in Utah Valley University. They share their son Mekhai Allan Andersen, born on September 13, 2008. She currently lives in Los Angeles
