Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California when she was just 5 years old. She was raised within Orange County. Her biggest break came in the year 2015. She graduated in 2015 with a an education from the University of California San Diego. Pernas had a few appearances in NCIS and Leverage, but she landed the role as Marisa in The Young and the Restless. Following her departure from the soap-opera in 2016 the actress scored a recurring role in Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The model who speaks four languages, has appeared in The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From 2019 to 2020, she portrayed Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly confirmed that Pernas and Justin Hartley were dating in May, in 2020. The relationship began after Hartley's This Is Us star split with her wife Chrishell Stause November of 2019. Pernas Hartley got married secretly with Pernas in the month of May 2021.
