Biles was raised at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. Her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone began to take an interest in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl during a day-care field trip at Bannon's Gymnastix and remained there for eleven years under supervision of trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles won a gold in floor exercise and a bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the elite level of competition in 2011. In less than two years, she became the top athlete in her field. Biles's consistency, her exuberant character and her high level of difficulty during her four eventsvault uneven bars balance beam floor workout and floor exercise -- made her above the others.
